My name is Lauryn. I have had the privilege of growing up in the salon industry as my mother is a stylist, and I have been a licensed hairstylist for over ten years. My passions are not only to express my artistic side through hair transformations, but to also make a difference in peoples’ lives. To me, it’s not just about a new hair cut, style or color, but most importantly, for me it is about nurturing someone’s natural beauty and allowing them to feel confident and love who they see when they look in the mirror. Some people get so busy in life that they neglect the time to practice much needed self-care for themselves. When they do finally come in to get pampered, I can see the joy in their eyes of how good the experience makes them feel. Seeing them walk out as the person they are at their core and ready to take on the world is what truly drives me in my career. My goals are to meet like minded artists in my community to support each other in our crafts. This is why I decided to enhance my salon by adding a boutique; selling handmade crafts all from local San Diego artists! Supporting small businesses in our town means to world to me!
Terrified animals are still suffering in laboratories across the globe in government-mandated tests of cosmetic ingredients. Cosmetic chemicals are forced down their throats, dripped into their eyes or smeared onto their skin before they are killed and dissected. Zen Den Salon & Boutique feels very strongly about this movement and did not want to support any company that performed any of these horrific acts towards these precious and innocent creatures as well as companies of child slavery and sweatshop labor. Quality along with sustainability were equally as important to the salon. With lots a research and trial we found the perfect high quality brands to share with you.
